As leaders understanding the season of things in your life is so important. Farmers understand the right time to plant, nurture and harvest a crop. It is essential for them to understand what season their crop is in to produce the highest yield.
Taylor my oldest child is a senior this year. I've been in the season of nurturing, teaching and cultivating her to be the best person she can be. My wife always accuses me of thinking Taylor is my favorite out of my four children. She did make me a father and Taylor is a daddy's girl but I'll never say publicly she is my favorite (lol).
This weekend as I watched her go to the senior prom it struck me, "THE SEASON IS CHANGING". Taylor is no longer the little girl that would hold my hand just walking around the house or sit in my lap and watch movie after movie. She was a blossoming into a beautiful women. Even though my fatherhood season is not over because she will certainly need me to help her navigate the start of adulthood, my role as a father is definitely changing.
As a leader recognizing the correct season personally, and in business will better equip you to provide the cultivation needed for the highest yield. The worst thing is to stay stuck in a past season and kill all of your potential future crops. No matter if you are planting, watering, cultivating or harvesting as a Leader.................Understand YOUR SEASON.
